Our Unfinished Solid Oak Stair Nosing is designed to create a classic bullnose edge on steps and staircases, providing a safe, rounded finish that looks clean and professional. Made from solid European oak, this profile is ideal for finishing stair treads where 14mm engineered oak flooring is used on the steps.

Stair nosing is a small detail that has a big visual impact. It protects the front edge of the tread, completes the transition from riser to tread and gives the staircase a cohesive, high-quality look. By choosing unfinished solid oak, you can colour-match the nosing perfectly to your chosen flooring finish on site.

Supplied in convenient 0.9m lengths, this stair nosing works well on standard domestic staircases and can be cut to size by your fitter for individual steps. It is suitable for use in homes, apartments and light commercial projects where a durable, natural wood finish is required.

Seamless Colour Matching with Your Oak Flooring

Because this stair nosing is supplied unfinished, it can be stained, oiled or lacquered on site to match the exact tone of your flooring. This is particularly important when working with bespoke oak finishes or when you want a consistent look across landings, corridors and steps.

When combined with 14mm engineered oak planks, the nosing creates a neat, level transition from the tread surface to the bullnose edge. The oak grain runs through both the tread and nosing, offering a natural, visually continuous appearance that looks far more premium than generic trims or metal edge profiles.
