These fittings feature a two-piece insert, which includes a ferrule—a metal or plastic component that compresses the hose tightly onto the fitting to create a strong, leak-proof seal. The main difference between two-piece and one-piece fittings is that two-piece fittings consist of separate components—the ferrule and the fitting body—offering flexibility in installation and easier replacement. One-piece fittings, in contrast, are pre-assembled for faster installation but offer less flexibility.
