The Crescent Natural Wood On Metal Plinth at 163cm is a fan-form half-circle hand-carved from pale natural wood, mounted on a tall brushed-bronze metal plinth finished with a soft top-to-bottom gradient. At 163cm overall, the wood crescent presents finely incised radiating ray lines that fan outward from a small central notch, giving the surface a delicate combed texture that catches light along every line. The pale honey wood sits softly above the metallic plinth, while the bronze gradient adds warmth without competing with the lighter focal form. Each crescent is hand-carved individually, so ray spacing and grain figure vary subtly.
A Carved Sun on Brushed Bronze
Our artisans hand-carve the crescent from a single piece of pale solid wood, cutting every fine ray and sanding the surface so it reads as a combed sun. The brushed bronze plinth is finished separately with a graduated patina that lifts the lighter form above.
