1920s cotton buyer Earle Dickson worked for Johnson & Johnson and had a klutzy wife who often cut herself. The son of a doctor, Earle set out to create an easier way for her to bandage her injuries. Band-Aids were born, but Earle's bosses at the pharmaceutical giant weren't convinced, and it wasn't until the Boy Scouts of America tested Earle's prototype that this ubiquitous household staple was made available to the public. Soon Band-Aids were selling like hotcakes, and the rest is boo-boo history.

The indestructible sharkie
High and low have I searched when quite by accident I just happened upon the indestructible sharkie. We are fast approaching the 24 hour mark and sharkie is still with us. He has thus far resisted the incredibly strong, outrageously aggressive and persistent chewing of my Bernese mountain dog. Most don’t make it 20 min, so a whole day?!? Miracle!!! Not in love with the incessant squeaking that has followed me, but then again… that’s because this is actually not simply a review but a love story between a dog and his shark toy. Where others have failed, this one has endured. My water fearing dog has an obsession with shark shaped toys so while it would be nice to see a different character, truth is… I’ll be buying more sharkies. A lot of sharkies. Yard sharkie. Work sharkie. Maybe not house sharkie… but you get the point.

Great for tough chewers
I have purchased this twice! My dog absolutely loves it! He is a pit-bull Shepard mix and an extremely tough chewer. The first toy lasted almost a year of him chewing on it daily

my aggressive chewer had this in 4 pieces in 5 minutes
my labrador loved this toy so much, too much. it's now in the trash after 8min flat. had it in 4 pieces in 5 minutes. thanks for trying. don't know why i bother. big rope toys last the longest.
