  • Secure fiber connections and verify that the link is established on the switch or router LEDs or management interface.
  • Power on (if powered down) and run basic connectivity tests or traffic tests to confirm 40 Gbps performance and stable link lanes.
  • Keep dust caps on any unused ports and store excess fiber length properly to prevent damage or contamination.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What is 40GBASE-SR4?
A: 40GBASE-SR4 is a short-range, high-speed transceiver designed for multimode fiber using an MPO/MTP connector, delivering up to 40 Gbps of Ethernet data across four 10 Gbps lanes for efficient data center networking.
  • Q: What is MPO/MTP in this context?
A: MPO/MTP is a multi-fiber fiber connector used to carry multiple gigabit signals on a single modular plug, enabling 40G/100G high-density deployments with QSFP+ transceivers.
  • Q: Is this transceiver hot-swappable?
A: Yes, the HPE MPO SR4 QSFP+ transceiver is designed for hot-swappable replacement in compatible switch and router ports, simplifying maintenance and minimizing downtime.
  • Q: What fiber type should I use?
A: Multimode fiber (MMF) is recommended for 40GBASE-SR4, with suitable fiber standards (for example OM1/OM2/OM3/OM4 as appropriate to your deployment) to support the SR4 link.
  • Q: Which devices is this transceiver compatible with?
A: The module is designed for HPE networking environments and is intended for use in systems with QSFP+ ports that support 40GBASE-SR4 transceivers. Always verify compatibility with your specific switch or router model and firmware.

Lots of Fun!
My Toy Cavapoo loves her bunnies. Good size for small dogs. She enjoys pulling each bunny out and tossing around. Bunnies also squeak which is a big plus for her.

Brilliant fun for dog, except for...
I have a 3yo German Shepherd Dog (GSD) and he can be very hard on toys. On days 1 and 2 he had such fun and we laughed at his good times! Then...Day 3...cue the Jaws Music... While I was away for 10 minutes, he dismantled the ball into tiny pieces! Even so, the ball continued to light up, make sounds and entertain my GSD!! Coolest dog toy ever! If you have a heavy chewer....watch out! Otherwise, I highly recommend!!

Disappointing Dog Toy – Short-Lived and Ineffective
I purchased this dog toy hoping it would keep my dog entertained and engaged, but unfortunately, it has been a huge disappointment. The first one I received only worked for about an hour before completely stopping. I decided to give it another chance and ordered a second one, hoping it was just a fluke. Unfortunately, the second one lasted even shorter—only 30 minutes—before completely ceasing to function. It no longer vibrates, rotates, or interacts in any way. Even when fully charged, the toy barely lights up and doesn’t do anything useful. This is a terrible product, and I’m genuinely shocked by the positive reviews. Save your money—this toy is not worth it.

My dog loves it
My Aussie loves it and he is a tough chewer as well, so it goes great with his hyper reactive personality. Durability could have been a little better, sometimes I have to take it apart and make sure it’s still in a good position because my dog will pick it up and drop it. With no cushion it did start malfunctioning at about 2 weeks. However, it does still work fine and he loves it even without the movement. Note if you put it in a sock to protect it, my dog goes dangerous and held the sock and created a slingshot lol.
