It has a medium weight to the palate with a pleasant structure which we appreciated after a holiday season filled with heavy foods and big rich wines. We enjoyed the levity and nicely focused red fruits and dry, spicy finish that this Valpolicella showed off. It is an excellent wine for roasted game birds, aged flavorful cheeses and pasta dishes. It’s like a nice hug.
