This MK Ultra is one of one hundred units released in the United States. One hundred fifty have been made worldwide.
The prime mover of this amp is Marcus King. The twenty-six year old Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter's love for Orange amplifiers runs deep. King, as a certified southern rocker, grew up on their beefy tones and musical versatility. Though definitively a British creation, an Orange amplifier is sure to be recognized anywhere, from their UK homeland to the United States – and wouldn't you know it, the MK Ultra is the first-ever Orange amplifier designed with Orange USA and built in the states. This distinction makes the MK Ultra a groundbreaking development in amplifiers.
King's love for set-and-forget tones that free him to focus on performing manifests in this three-dial head. A head with only bass, treble, and volume? Take his word or his signature as proof, it's good enough for the man himself. Handwired with thirty watts of power, two 12AX7 preamp valves, and two 6L6GC power valves, the MK Ultra presents a brilliantly deep playing experience. The amp is responsive for your picking patterns, versatile for your pedals, and streamlined for your playing. Any way you approach the MK Ultra, it's ready for you.
The MK Ultra is rooted on each side of the Atlantic and ultimately comes together as its own creation with British and American sensibilities. It's a head that speaks for itself once plugged in, ready to blaze a new trail.
