From 1940–1950, printer Everett M. "Busy" Arnold reprinted Spirit stories under his Quality Comics banner, first individually from 1940–1947 as one of the features in 92 issues of Police Comics and from 1944–1950 as 22 issues of The Spirit.The Spirit is a fictional masked crime fighter created by cartoonist Will Eisner, who fights crime with the blessing of the city's police commissioner Dolan, an old friend. Despite the Spirit's origin as detective/criminologist Denny Colt, his real identity was rarely referred to after his first appearance, and for all intents and purposes he was simply "The Spirit". The stories are presented in a wide variety of styles, from straight forward crime drama and noir to lighthearted adventure, from mystery and horror to comedy and love stories, often with hybrid elements that twisted genre and reader expectations. Comic book stories from the 1940s and 1950s may depict some ethnic and racial prejudices that were oncecommon place in American culture. Such depictions were wrong then and are wrong today. While not representing the publisher's view of today's society, these stories are printed as they were originally created, because to do otherwise would be the same as claiming these prejudices never existed.Shipping Notes

Excellent made plates and they stand true to their description. Dixie plates hold up strong to your food . I find there are no leaks coming from the bottom , or soggy , sagging , collapsing cardboard like others. They hold up great in a microwave too. Load on the sauce or gravy and know that Dixie will take care of your food plate. The price is excellent on Amazon as well !! It’s an excellent buy for a fantastic paper plate!!!

Nice and sturdy!
Size: 300 Count
This was our first time to try the Amazon Basics Everyday Plates. I typically purchase paper plates in bulk from a big box club store. These are just as good, if not better! They are thick and sturdy, and hold up well. The price point it also better!
My only negative is the design on the plate isn’t the most appealing. I think it’d be better if the design was limited to just being on the edge, and not across the entire plate.

Great Size, Strong Enough for Everyday Use, and Worth Reordering

I reorder these regularly, and that really says the most. They’ve been consistent, practical, and a good value for what you get.
They’re strong enough to handle normal meals without feeling like they’re going to give way. I’ve had no issues using them for everyday food, and they hold up well as long as you’re using them as intended.
I also like the size. They’re a little over 8½ inches, which works well for most meals. If I have something heavier, I can put a plate holder underneath, and these still fit just fine.
The print/design is simple, which I don’t mind at all. I’m more concerned with how they perform, and these do what I need them to do.
I’ve used name-brand paper plates before, and for my everyday use, I feel like these compare very well, especially considering the price.
I’ll also be honest—paper plates just make sense for me. I tend to drop things because of how my hands work, so
this helps prevent broken dishes and the cleanup that comes with that. Plus, it definitely cuts down on doing dishes.
Overall, these are reliable, affordable, and something I’ll continue to reorder.
