Storage
The pacifier should always be stored clean and dry, for example in a closed box or a pacifier case. Avoid especially placing the pacifier in direct sunlight or heat, as this can weaken the natural rubber. Also, do not sterilize the pacifier with anything other than boiled water.
Cleaning
Before the pacifier is used for the first time, it should be poured over with boiling water and then left to soak for 5 minutes. Do not boil the pacifier. After this, the pacifier should be regularly sterilized by pouring boiling water over it. Since it is a valve pacifier, liquid will penetrate into the sucking head. When the pacifier has cooled down, the water should be pressed out of the sucking part to ensure hygiene.
Why is the nipple clear in material on some pacifiers and matte in material on others? Natural rubber latex is a et natural material with many good properties, such as softness, tensile strength, and great durability against biting. However, latex will also have natural variations in the material that can be seen in this light. Therefore, the appearance of the nipple may vary in clarity and color.
