Here’s another beautiful Must de Cartier Tank watch, this time with a stunning, glossy black lacquered dial, also known as the ‘Onyx’ Tank among the vintage Must de Tank watches – it is a timepiece that is a downright icon and this particular example shows a dial without any cracks, spider-dial effect or damages. and is a watch accompanied by the original box and papers.

The black dial on our Cartier Tank is a dial without any hour, minute or seconds markers, this of-course adds to the overall clean look of the watch, but also adds a slice of mystery to it – The only printing done on the dial are the model name ‘Must de Cartier’ and the enlarged Cartier ‘Double C signature’ just above the six o’clock position. The intriguing black dial and black Alligator strap create a beautiful and elegant harmony, but the all-black appearance also seems fairly impressive; A sensation not all Tank watches can induce in my humble opinion. All numerals and hallmarks on the case-back are clearly visible to the naked eye, while the crown and it’s cabochon blue sapphire are in excellent and damage free conditions. Notice the small and unusual, but wonderfully executed hand-engraving at the bottom of the case-back – This says the word, Krefel. Krefel is a Belgian electronics powerhouse that has been around since 1958 and currently has over 70 active stores. In all likelihood, this Tank was given to a dedicated employee, and also explains the fun ‘sparkplug’ at the end of the engraving.

Inside this Cartier beats a Cartier signed, manual wind movement which was fully serviced. The 925 sterling silver case was once again plated with a new 20 micron layer of 18k gold, using the Vermeil technique. During the full service a new mineral crystal was also fitted. This beautiful Must de Cartier Tank ‘Onyx’ with manual wind movement will be sold with our extensive two year warranty.

Just fine if you have simple needs...
Color: Black/Digital/Black/Green
Exactly what I needed: a cheap, durable wrist watch. The only thing it was lacking were instructions, but about 5 minutes of messing with the buttons got it set up

Surprising good!
Color: Brown/Blue/Stainless Steel
I purchased this watch on whim, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it looks. I just love the design of the face. THe quality is good. I did change the strap for a premium leather. It comfortable to wear. Worth the money in my opinion.

Really nice and unique watch
Color: Black/Black/Black
This watch really caught my eye on Amazon. Every once in awhile you order an item and it looks better in person than it does in a picture. This is one of those items. It looks really great in person! I collect mostly unique watches that look different than a normal watch. What is really unique about this watch is that it has 2 separate second hands. One that is always ticking for the time and another one that starts going with the Chronograph. Not sure I've ever seen that on another watch. Sure I've seen subdials that do this, but this is 2 full size second hands. And they look different also so they don't get confused. I've never seen this one in a store which is a shame because I think Timex has some great watches right now and I don't think a lot of people know about them.

nice but.
So, this really is a nice watch and if you can get it on sale it's a bargain. The bracelet is junk, with hollow end links. I would recommend replacing that with some type of fabric or rubber type strap. The reason I took one star off is because the chrono function isn't the best style. If you don't plan to use it much or only plan to use it for 10 minutes or less that's fine. More than that and the minutes counter flies back to zero and starts counting again which can be confusing and the next register is the combo 24hr and chrono minutes/hours counter which isn't easy to use for timing say 30 minutes or so. The standard type chrono counters are way better by design and Timex sells another one with standard counters with neat multicolored registers for less money. Otherwise it's a solid watch comfortable to wear not too big or thick or heavy. Of course it has mineral glass for the xtl so you need to be careful or it will scratch pretty easily but for the price.....
