Background
HRSV is a member of the Pneumovirinae subfamily in the Paramyxoviridae family. It consists of a non-segmented, single-strand negative RNA genome packaged in a lipid envelope. The genome of HRSV is about 15.2 kb in length and encodes 10 genes and 11 proteins: NS1, NS2, N, P, M, SH, G, F, M2-1, M2-2, and L. The F protein and G protein are the major surface glycoproteins. Both of them can stimulate the production of neutralizing antibodies. The sequence of the F protein is highly conserved, while that of the G protein is hypervariable. Due to the genetic diversity in the G gene, sequence encoding the second hypervariable region in the C-terminal (HVR2) of the G protein has been used for genotyping of HRSV. According to the genetic characteristic and reactivity with monoclonal antibodies, HRSV is classified into 2 subgroups, A (HRSVA) and B (HRSVB). To date, there are 15 genotypes of HRSVA (GA1-GA7, SAA1, CB-A, NA1-4 and ON1-2), and 24 genotypes of HRSVB (GB1-GB4, SAB1-SAB4, URU1-2, BA1-12, GB5/CB1 and CBB).

Just what I was looking for!!
So far,so good. It s the first time I have been trying this product. I really like it. I was looking for something to help me for dryness due to the cold weather and excess of hand washing because of my job. I work in a microbiology lab, so I am costantly washing my hands and they tent to get dry with the specific soap we have to use. I like to feel my hands humected but not sticky. I tried several brands but never got quite convinced to by a brand again because I as not satisfied at all. This hand cream is ligher compared to many others but really protects and leaves your hands soft. You use it once or twice a day and they are still soft.

Miracle cream!
This cream is unbelievable. goes in instantly, makes hands soft after one application and creates a barrier to protect your hands against cold and water. I live in VT and have tried numerous "extreme" hand creams that are heavy and greasy and useless~ this one is the best. I also like that it is fragrance-free except for that mild "Avene" spring water smell. I have two tubes, one for my night table and one next to the kitchen sink. I am 47 and have tried numerous face and body products`` you could say I used to be a "junkie" :) but I always come back to Avene. I have extremely sensitive skin and Avene products are a life saver.

My 75 year old hands appear softer and younger!
Avene Cicalfate Restorative Hand cream leaves my hands feeling very soft! A little goes a long way, I have had mine for a year. Soon I will be purchasing another tube. Yes, it is a little pricey for a hand cream, but does the job better then any other product I have used on my hands. Highly recommend this hand cream if you have dry, sensitive skin. It also has no added fragrance which I really appreciate!
