Sharpsguard Yellow 0.5L Sharps Container (Case of 60)
As hospitals and other medical environments can often generate a lot of clinical and potentially harmful waste, it is important to ensure that correct storage and disposal systems are in place. The Sharpsguard Yellow 0.5L Sharps Container (Case of 60) conforms to BS EN ISO 23907:2012, enabling the safe storage of sharps for incineration.
Please note that the Yellow 0.5L Sharps Containers are suitable for sharps contaminated by medicinal products, excluding cytotoxic and cytostatic.
Safer Design
The Sharpsguard Yellow 0.5L Sharps Container has been designed to provide a safer method of storing sharps for incineration. The solid structure features a non-return valve, which helps to ensure that the contents of the container will not slip out and cause potential hazards.
It also includes a yellow lid to allow for colour coding. This will provide a visual prompt for eliminating the chance of objects being placed in the incorrect containers. The label on the front of the container will also provide improved safety, with space for writing information including the container's location, department, and start date.
Compact Size Ideal for Versatile Use
As the Yellow 0.5L Sharps Container is sized for easy carrying, it can be ideally fitted into a bag or in the glove compartment of a vehicle. This makes it a practical solution for community healthcare workers and wardens to carry around in case of the sudden disposal of sharps.
Since it does not take up too much room, it is also perfect for wards and departments where space for storing unused containers may be limited. This will help to ensure that there can always be a spare container at hand should one be needed at short notice.
Standards Conformity
The Sharps Container conforms to BS EN ISO 23907:2012 'Sharps injury protection - Requirements and test methods - Sharps containers'. This means that it meets the specifications required by the standard for the disposal of sharps.
Conforming to the standard will help provide assurance that the Sharpsguard Yellow 0.5L is a safe and reliable option for storing sharps for incineration in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
