Story
Lately I’ve been working on a series of Northwest Coast flies inspired by my son Gord. As I was working on a mayfly design, I was reminded of the monarch butterfly and how we have thousands of them showing up each year.
I’ve always wanted to do a rendition of this butterfly in the style of the Haida and Tsimshian, and so I finally bring this one to life as an original print called: MONARCH.
It’s one of those unexpected inspirations that comes along when I least expect.
