Fitment Notes
- Always match vehicle details before ordering. Confirm exact fitment using VIN, engine code, or chassis number if multiple variants exist.
- This kit includes the camshaft sprocket.
Engine Internal Component — Professional Installation Required: Timing chain kits are engine internal components. Incorrect installation, valve timing, or tensioner setup can cause piston-to-valve contact and catastrophic engine damage.
Always follow the vehicle manufacturer's workshop procedure, lock the engine at TDC using the correct timing marks, observe specified torque values, and use new fasteners where required. If unsure, refer the work to a qualified workshop.
Installation / Use / Maintenance Tips
- Compare the new chain and sprocket to the removed units before installation to confirm chain type (Simplex), link count (102), and sprocket tooth count match.
- Lock the engine at TDC using the correct timing marks before removing the old chain.
- Inspect the crankshaft sprocket for wear — replace if worn.
- Prime the tensioner and ensure correct oil supply before starting the engine.
- After assembly, rotate the engine by hand through at least two full revolutions to confirm no binding or interference before cranking.
- Torque all fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer's specified values.
