Deze 12 jaar oude Old Pulteney is gedistilleerd en gerijpt bij de zee. Een toegankelijke whisky met invloeden van de zee. Neus: Honing, vanille en zeezout. Smaak: zoete smaak van honing en vanille gaan over in fruitige tonen en verse kruiden. Afdronk: levendig met een licht ziltige finish. 

Old Pulteney is opgericht in 1826 door James Henderson. Het is éen van de noordelijkste distilleerderijen op het vasteland van Schotland. Door het gebrek een wegen in het gebied was distilleerderij in het begin alleen toegankelijk per boot. In 1930 werd de productie van whisky gestaakt door drooglegging van het gebied. Na de oorlog werd in 1951 de productie weer hervat. Tegenwoordig maakt de distilleerderij weer 900.000 liter per jaar en staat het bekend als de maritieme malt.
