Zach Broyles, Mythos Pedals' lead creative force and resident 808 fiend, brings his own spin to the classic green formula to conjure up some exciting new tonal trails to trek.
The Mythos Envy Pro Overdrive started at a familiar point with an 808 heart. From there, Mythos took the lead. Incorporating some of Zach's favorite mods, the Envy's circuit came to life as something all its own. A three-knob layout presents the experience simply for easy access to the iconic green screamer. Through this interface, Zach and Mythos went on to expand the range of the drive knob to offer a wider palette of drive tonality and serve up new, creamy, overdriven flavors.
The mods didn't stop there, however. Mythos took the liberty to add in a pair of two-way switches to further make the circuit its own. A Bass Boost switch appears to thicken the lower end frequencies and reduce midrange. Alongside this, a Clipping Mode switch allows for players to swap between both the Mythos style of screamer and, by engaging the switch and adding in symmetrical soft clipping, throw back to a more traditional style of drive. Roll through all of these features and feel voices old and new of that famous mean, green machine.
